Therapeutic ultrasound is a non-invasive procedure that uses ultrasound waves to treat musculoskeletal issues, such as pain, muscle spasms, and tissue injuries. The ultrasound machine conducts an electrical signal through crystals found in the head of the ultrasound probe. The crystals vibrate and create mechanical waves at frequencies outside the range of human hearing.

What can it treat?

  • Chronic and Acute PAin
  • Muscle Strains & Spasms
  • Ligament Sprains
  • Tendonitis
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Scar Tissue
  • Chronic Neck & Low Back Pain
  • Arthritis
  • Bursitis
  • Frozen Shoulder
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Clinical Effects

Therapeutic Ultrasound can increase blood flow to help reduce swelling and inflammation, help reduce pain, improve flexibility, relax tissues, and promote faster healing. It can also contribute to helping remodel scar tissue by changing the collagen within the tissues.
