Radial Pulse Wave therapy, also known as shockwave therapy, is a non-invasive treatment that uses mechanically produced radiating impact waves to help heal and soft tissue injuries. Pulse wave is particularly adept at loosening stubborn muscle knots, trigger points, calcific tendinitis, and other more chronic conditions.

* Not all therapy clinics provide pulse wave therapy.

What can it treat?

Clinical Effects

Radial pulse wave is used to reduce pain and promote healing in joint, tendon, ligament and fascia in patients with musculoskeletal disorders, and to reduce spasticity in patients with neurological disorders. Radial pulse wave also improves circulation in order to help damaged tissues heal and regenerate, reduces inflammation, and increases mobility through increased joint flexibility that can lead to better joint function. Radial pulse wave has also shown to speed up the healing process, reducing calcification (calcium deposits in damaged tendons), and relaxing trigger points to alleviate muscle tension.
